Self and Soul Museum Visit Signature Course Spring 2011, Woodruff The aim of this assignment is to give you an opportunity to use some of the  treasures of the University in connection with the course. Phase I: Identify Interesting Works of Art Due April 15 or 18, during discussion section (Credit/no credit). Take at least an hour to visit the permanent collection in the upstairs galleries  of the Blanton Museum.  Look at some paintings, sculptures, and drawings.  Identify at least six works of art that you believe are expressive of moral  character.  Make a list of them, with a few notes on each.  In class, you will  divide up the works of art so that each of you has his or her own piece to write  about.  In each discussion section the TA will assign each student a work from  his/her list such that each student in that section will have a different work.
