Unformatted text preview: Technological corporations are taking a hit due to these calamities because as the unemployment rate, taxes, and prices on item rises people won’t spent as much on gadgets and services. Economist think that these problems are good because while people aren’t being hired, jobs are being created taking people off of government and payroll. As the rate rises more people enter the work force. 6) Do you think the political cartoon is meaningful and/or serves a general purpose? Explain why or why not with relation to class. This cartoon shows its purpose by showing us that times aren’t getting better. Change needs to happen because more people are “sinking” due to the price and tax increases and mainly to the fact that more people are losing their jobs. http://curiouscapitalist.blogs.time.com/2010/09/03/unemployment-rises-hurray/ http://www.laptopet.com/2010/12/rising-unemployment-in-usa-can-be-bad.html...
