August 24 th , 2011 Biology Lecture 1 A seed (looking at one from an avocado) has five parts: seedcoat, cotyledons, radicle, hypocotyl, and embryo. Abiotic conditions: temperature, moisture, sunlight. The embryo of the seed can die without proper environment conditions.
