1. The situation While working at a manufacturing facility about ten years ago, a number of my coworkers and I would head across the street to the local bar to have a few drinks. One evening after 6-8 hours of unwinding, a co-worker accused another co-worker of groping his wife. The situation escalated to the point where a knife was drawn and threats were made against the accused party. The person that pulled the knife was arrested but bonded out over the weekend. On Monday, both parties showed up to work and assumed their stations about 10 feet from each other. The person that was threatened at the bar discussed with our leader that he didn't feel the work environment was safe, requesting a transfer to another department until the situation was resolved. 2. Actions the leader took The leader had a discussion with both parties. They agreed not to start any problems or cause trouble during business hours. No action was taken.
