Undergraduate Careers in Finance There is a vast array of opportunities awaiting you in the finance industry. You may choose to work in corporate finance, commercial banking, insurance, real estate, investment banking or money management. Therefore, it is strongly recommended that you conduct research as well as network with others to explore your career-related interests. POSITION YOURSELF FOR SUCCESS Research the industry. Suggested resources include the Vault guides available through the BU CareerLink, The Wall Street Journal , New York Times , and books such as Liar’s Poker , Den of Thieves and Monkey Business . Attend career-related events The FCC hosts two events every Fall semester, Your Future in Finance Conference and Demystifying Investment Banking, a long with a significant number of employer information sessions. These are great opportunities to get to know alums and employers, while gathering crucial information on the field. Recruiting Timeline Finance-related positions and training programs in companies such as General Electric, HSBC, Bank of America, and Thermo Fisher
