Steven Miner 2/18/11 Engl 101 Section 003 Sheryl Simons 30 th Street Station Looking around at the building itself it is hard for one not to think about all of the many people over the years that have been in and out of the station, thinking of how some of my distant relatives could have walked these same floors, stairs or even sat on the same benches years ago. I arrived at the station at exactly 3:00 pm and as I sat on the bench directly in the middle of the main lobby giving me the ability to see just about everything going on in the station. While walking through things like the history of this massive and highly traveled station came into my mind. When first arriving walking through the café area I noticed the wide variety of places to eat and different varieties of food that would appeal to people of all different types social classes. For instance you had a coffee shop as simple as dunkin donuts then right across the hall they have a Saxby’s coffee, which has just a little more class than their station rival dunkin donuts. This is
