Lucier v. Williams Superior Court of New Jersey, 2004 266 N.J. Super. 485 841 A.2d 907 FACTS: The plaintiffs are Eric LUCIER and Karen Haley, and the defendants are Angela M. WILLIAMS and James V. Williams, and/or Cambridge Associates, LTD., and/or Al Vasys. Plaintiffs Lucier and Haley, we’re a young married couple and first time homebuyers that went into a contract with the defendants the Williams’. after finding a home that they were interested in the plaintiffs hired Cambridge Associates (CAL) to perform a home inspection. Lucier signed with Defendant Al Vasys , who was the president of CAL, and Vasys performed an inspection on the house in July 1999. Working with CAL the plaintiffs had to sign a contract that acknowledges all of the risk rewards and benefits that come with their work. One of the risk the clients have with working with them is total liability for any and all injuries, claims, losses, expenses, damages, or expenses.
