Why is there self sacrifice in the judeo-christian belief: why do people have to suffer? N is arguing there is no reason to be put onto this earth only to suffer. Why is there sickness, why is there death? Human beings were really suffering from meaninglessness. What is the purpose of beign alive. Men found it necessary to create the idea of an omnipotent character for which death and suffering could be applied. Theodicy is about if people are suffering is because they disobeyed God.
