Dove Dark Chocolate 1. The target market for Dove Dark Chocolate candies are women ages 20-40. They are women who are somewhat successful in what they do and have a disposable income to buy the higher end brands such as Dove Chocolate. They dress well and they also enjoy treating themselves well. They also enjoy being healthy, which is why they choose dark chocolate, since there are certain health benefits associated with consuming dark chocolate. 2. Right now in the minds of consumers we are behind more established and cheaper brands like Hershey’s Special Dark chocolate. We have the better tasting and more luxurious brand, and our target market can afford to spend the few extra pennies for our chocolate, so the only reason that they are not already choosing our product is because they have been consuming Hershey’s for years and are loyal to the brand. 3. Our competition in the minds of consumers is that our competition, particularly Hershey’s brand, is much more established and has greater brand loyalty than Dove brand
