Shape similar objects together - Proximity - elements that are relatively close to each other group together - Good Continuation - elements group to form smoothly continuing lines - Common Region - elements perceived to be part of a larger region grouped together - Connectedness - elements that are connected grouped together - Parallelism -parallel elements grouped together - Symmetry - elements - Common Fate - elements that move in same direction group together
