company, in comparison to other companies in the industry Thirsty’s Inc continue to make positive profits at year end. My Role My role with Thirsty’s Inc. was Assistant Controller under the direction of the owner and controller. In my 4 years at Thirsty’s I provided financial support to all companies in the Boles Enterprises with responsibilities of human resources, accounts payable, payroll, budget and financial analysis, and month end closures. I was able to develop a plan for the managers to stay with in the location budgets for hiring, provide quality assurance to employees so that all employees were satisfied with their job and benefits. In this position, I would confirm that the compensation and benefits are with in the company budget and we able to provide some incentives to the employees quarterly. The budget was developed to help reduce the high number of turnovers, because when a company increases employee’s morale and make them feel appreciated will help reduce the turnover rates. Problem Statement Company Problem The problem that Thirsty’s Inc. faces are employee compensation and benefits that would display that the employees were not satisfied with their job position. The decrease of revenue cause the employees turnover ratio to increase due to the lack of communication, changes in benefits and incentives, lack of training and inconsistency hiring decisions. The hiring decisions of the company were not in the best interest of the company because management hire individuals based on filling the positions instead of hiring the best qualified individual. As the new

employees are hired the management fails to inform the employees of the long hours, training procedures, and benefits changing at management discretion. Literature Review
