ARGUMENT EVALUATION 2 ARGUMENT EVALUATION The first argument that I found in the article was that terrorists were “extraordinarily successful” in their efforts to cause fear in the hearts of Americans. I found two premises to this argument. “The goal of terrorism is to cause damage to their target and to make the population in general have feared that they might be next” and “Americans reacted with fear.” The conclusion to this argument is that the terrorists achieved their goal of spreading fear and disrupting lives. In the very beginning of the article the author states that the terrorists were “extraordinarily successful” in their efforts to put fear into the hearts of the American people. I think that this argument is deductively valid. The premises include the conclusion and also give a guarantee of the truth in the conclusion. These premises are accurate and are effortlessly confirmed by an
