Discuss how translators’ approach to their work may have changed in response to this new situation. Your discussion might engage with (though should not necessarily be limited to) topics such as: -the nature of CAT -tools and a comparison of two or more TM software in terms of functionality (Omega-T, Word Fast Anywhere, MemoQ 4Free, Star Transit, SDL Trados Studio 2009, or demo versions of other TMs software such as Deja Vu, Wordfast, MemoQ, etc.) -the advantages and disadvantages of (both open source and proprietary) CAT tools from the point of view of the translator, as well as from the point of view of translation agencies, project managers and/or direct clients -the different usage of CAT-tools in governmental organisations and in businesses (i.e. Saint Robert 2008) -the new challenges faced by the CAT-tools industry (in the current context of internationalization and localization)
