CRM Doing the Work for You! By: Deborah Barnes, Director Change Management Services, ISM, Inc. Last week we highlighted a CRM triumph for another financial services company. This article explains the benefits of CRM’s technical functions. Raymond James associates identified core technical functionality that they would like to receive in Raymond James CRM such as workflow automation, templates, email/letter system templates, mail merge, keyword search, hand-held synch and mobile access, among others. Let us take a closer look at a few of these functional areas to see how they can benefit you. Workflow Automation Talk about not having to keep everything in your head anymore – this is one of the most awesome features of CRM. As an example; you could have a workflow for your new client process. In this case, a support associate would receive a call from the new client and enter basic contact information into the system. He or she would schedule a meeting for the client and a financial advisor, assigning a code to that meeting. A packet of documents is then automatically generated and printed for mailing to the client. This
