It would be difficult for me to believe that there is a single person who could listen to the Pausch lecture and not be touched. I can only hope that I have the grace and wisdom to understand and live the way he and his family have lived. We are fortunate to have this. Please share this lecture with your friends and family. I have attached a recent blog on success by Mark Cuban that has interest in this arena…enjoy So what did you learn: 1. Leadership comes through enabling the dreams of others. Even failures can be interpreted as successes if you take something away from every experience by learning from it. Brick walls are built to keep out those people who don't want something badly enough--success is reserved for those who deserve because they are willing to work hard enough to achieve it. – Kristen Shea 2. What is the point? It was about Randy Pausch giving a final lecture that became famous to many. His main theme was stopping and thinking to ourselves about what truely matters to us. His speech was emotional because he was in the shoes of living his last few months before he dies of cancer which forced him to think what really matters to him most. – Bee Ai Lee 3. The point of the Pausch videos is a motivational, humorous note on the journey ahead of us. “All others in the world are judged,” was spoken by Pausch that sums up the purpose of his lecture. His lectures are based on achieving things in life that build up as you continue down the journey. – Kylie Callander 4. The point of this lecture is that all great leaders work to get what they want. In life you will always have a brick wall to get around. This lecture showed that it possible to get around your obstacles in life as long as you have the motivation to do so. Successful people go to PO Page 2 great lengths to achieve their goals. Also this lectures taught me that you need to give people time in order to impress you. – Maddie Struble 5. You are the only person that can attain something for yourself. If you don't want it bad enough, the brick walls will keep you away from it. – Jennifer Jacobson 6. The point is that we control the way our life turns out and our lasting effect on this world.
