Nozzle A nozzle is a steady-flow engineering device used to increase the velocity of the working fluid In a nozzle, velocity increases and pressure decreases from inlet to exit No work device - mechanical or other forms Heat transfer almost always negligible » small area; less time due to large velocities; small temperature difference PE changes usually negligible
