18:39 III.        Immigration, Western:              A.   The Chinese once the railroad was built and finished, the Chinese were basically abandoned.  Chinese weren’t allowed to ride the railroad once completed. Once they are done and if their not ready to go back to China, they had to compete with  white workers. Employers started hiring chinese workers rather than white men to  eliminate the threat of a labor union and pay lower wages.                           Dennis Kearney, Workingman's Party Refer to the chinese as people who will never assimilate to the American culture  therefore they shouldn’t be allowed in the country.                           Chinese Exclusion Acts (1882, 1892, 1902) bars immigration from china to united states, first time a single national group is barred  from immigrations. Open immigration=barred, anyone can come other than criminals,
