Nature of Emotions 9 16 09 Are emotional feelings really without content? All over the world, people associate emotional feelings with body changes This might be taken to show that like pain, hunger,, and thirst, emotions represent specific conditions of the body. Is it introspectively true that emotional feelings are not reported to our body? o Ex. Lust What are these feelings? Descartes has very little to say about the nature of our feelings o What distinguishes the feelings of distinct emotions?
