Week 4 Project Management Framework, Triple Constraint Schwalbe chap 3 (pp. 79-86) chap 4(pp. 122-130) Main outputs of initiating are stakeholder register, stakeholder management strategy, and a project charter. Standards describe best practices for what should be done to manage a project Methodology describes how things should be done. Prince2 (Projects in controlled environments) : defines 45 separate sub-processes and organizes them into 8 groups, starting up, planning, initiating, directing, controlling a stage, managing product delivery, managing stage boundaries, closing project. Common in UK and 50 countries released in 96 by uk office of governance. Agile: uses iterative workflow and incremental delivery of software in short iterations of incremental deliveries.

Rational unified process (RUP) frame works: iterative software development process that focuses on team productivity and delivers software best practices to all team members.
