Many women in Afghanistan are trapped in their marriage and are forced to marry men. Some of the girls are getting wed before the legal age of 16. The abuse and rape in domestic disputes is high. There are laws starting to come in affect for the women of Afghanistan that will make rape illegal in the country for the first time. This will help with the violence rate in this country. These laws are hard to enforce in Afghanistan because of the culture being patriarch.
