Math 128 ASSIGNMENT 1: Math 127 Review Winter 2012 This assignment won’t be marked. Instead, there will be a short quiz during the first tuto- rial. You’ll have 30 minutes to write it, though it shouldn’t take that long. It is strongly recommended that you do the assignment before the tutorial. There will be only about 30 minutes of question-and-answer time in tutorial before the quiz begins. Comment: By no means does this assignment review all of Math 127. It mostly just reviews the two main operations: Differentiation and Integration. You may need more review than this, depending on how long it has been since you took 127, and how well you learned it in the first place. From the text: Ch. 3 Review Exercises (p. 265) # 1, 3, 5, 13, 28, 29, 31.

Unformatted text preview: • Ch. 5 Review Exercises (p. 416) # 3, 8, 10, 12, 16, 22, 28, 30, 37. Hint: You need not find an antiderviative in # 3 and 8 — you have to look at them the right way first, then not much work is required. Review the Fundamental Theorem of Calculus. Non-text problem: 1. * Evaluate the integral 2 π Z | x-π | x 2-2 πx + π 2 + 1 sin x dx. * Problems marked with an asterisk are considered challenging. Do the best you can, and try not to get discouraged if you don’t solve them completely. Challenging questions will also appear on the tests and exam, but they will be worth about 5% at the most, and will be balanced by easy questions near the beginning....

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
