Heaton Mr. Rebenstorf English II-4 7 October 2009 Extra: Article for Cadet Call For the Love of Life “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I consecrated you; a prophet to the nations I appointed you.” These words from Jeremiah 1:5 are not only God’s, but the reason why people across the nation join together to support everyone’s right to life. Powerful words such as these were printed on the posters of thousands who stood as one on Sunday, October 4 to protest abortion. Men and women alike knelt and prayed that God would intervene on behalf of those who have no voice. They held signs to illustrate their point that “Abortion Kills Children” and “Jesus Forgives and Heals.” They did it for the love of life. Sunday, October 4 was the twenty second time that men and women across the nation lined streets to pray for the unborn. This event is known as the Life Chain and is, “a peaceful and prayerful public witness of pro-life Americans standing for one hour praying for our nation and
