What Engineering is to Me
The experience and knowledge I have gained in these past months has been astonishing.
University of Texas is a great environment full of people devoted to learn. The engineering
department has greatly influenced me, and I hope that through hard work and dedication I can
graduate with many accomplishments. In my opinion engineering is a field where one uses their
skills in order to construct or improve an everyday machinery or new technology. I have begun
to see the vast number of ways electrical engineers are needed in our society today. From lights
to electronics to cars, electrical engineers are always at work. A field that is expanding greatly.
I chose electrical engineering as my major, because of my desire to learn more about how
everyday electronics are made and developed. I enjoy understanding how circuits, electricity, and
high level programs work hand in hand to output unimaginable products. The world we live in, is
surrounded by flowing and break through advancements. All of which is thanks to hard working
