Sarah Lowery ECON 313 951010439 Extra Credit Study Guide and Text Book Review Chapter 13: Study Guide The chapter 13 study guide really helped me to understand the consequences of conducting an autonomous monetary policy tightening or easing versus relying upon the self-correcting mechanisms of the economy. When I read Chapter 13 in the book, it wasn’t as clear to me, but the study guide really put that idea in place. The format of the study guide is helpful in that it cuts out most of the unnecessary facts and reading you find in the actual chapter of the book. I think the “Helpful Hints” section of the study guide should include more of the affects that monetary policies can have on an economy, I feel it is kind of an important concept that may have been overlooked. I can see how the “Terms, Concepts, and Equations” section can be helpful toward other students, but personally, reading a definition means nothing to me unless I see it being applied. The “Problems and Questions” section of the study guide is the most
