To: Marketing Department From: Sarah Lowery, Marketing Manager Date: April 2, 2011 Subject: Environmentally Sustainable Bowling Shoes As we all know, our company has recently decided to become more environmentally sustainable in order to reduce our ecological footprint on our planet. We have instilled this idea in our mission statement; however, it is crucial that we correctly implement the newly developed concept. Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, and Recreate a New Product We currently produce not-so-environmentally-friendly bowling shoes, so what we must do is redesign our product to make it more sustainable. Currently, there are very few shoe companies that are environmentally sustainable. If we combine the ideas from various other successful companies with innovative ideas of our own, we can develop the most sustainable bowling shoe on the market: GreenBees, a firm based out of Las Vegas, reuses the rubber from worn out tires to create new and stylish shoes New Balance, an athletic shoe company from Boston, has recently developed a line of shoes
