Job Descriptions proposal he wants to be able to suggest the following: the reason why it is important to update and write job descriptions. Outline of a process that might be followed for doing current job. And a process for future periodically reviewing and updating these new job descriptions. The first part of the proposal is why it is important to update and write job descriptions. One reason is that when you are hiring new personal they need to have a clear understanding of the job that they are applying for. Unless you have a description, how do you know what to hold people accountable for? How do you know who is responsible for acquiring new business or even advertising for the company? At this present time the jobs are all crosses. You have marketing representatives generating new account and servicing existing account. You may be able to grow the business even more if the marketing team was just forces on marketing and we created a business development team. The sole responsibility of this team is to develop additional customer and clients. The handlers need to have a clear understanding that they will be hauling, lifting and stacking book all day. You may want to also state that handlers may be using a forklift
