1.20.11 Globalization at a Crossroads (2010) What does globalization mean in different regional contexts? Russia : Privatization of resources and shifting of wealth led to poverty. Globalization  means post Cold War period of poverty and poor quality of life.  Bolivia : Privatization and neoliberal reforms of water systems caused extremely high  prices. This led Evo Morales to begin a large leftward political movement.  US : Housing bubble bursting and speculation led to economic crash To different segments or classes of global society?
