Firstly, to even be considered as a candidateyou have to be a citizen that was born in the United States, at least thirty five years old and a U.Sresident for at least fourteen years. There are many processes to become the official presidentnominee you have to be elected by the people by either a caucuses or primaries election and winthe majority vote of delegates at the states national convention. Primaries and caucuses aredifferent because primaries can be either closed or open but most primary states you have to beregistered to vote. Also, it’s a private decision but you're open to vote for anyone. Caucuses is agroup activity, it goes on for hours until a unanimous decision is made. After all the results comein from primaries and caucuses then who ever has the most votes becomes the presidentialcandidate for that political party. The 2020 democratic presidential candidate is John Biden.
