The World.zip file contains the following shapefiles: File Name Description admin02.shp The administrative boundaries represent the regions that together make up a country. cities.shp The major cities of the world. continent.shp All the continents. country.shp All the countries of the world. lakes.shp The major lakes of the world. region.shp Regions group a number of countries together. Rivers.shp The major rivers of the world. Create a spatial database in postgreSQL in the same manner as last week ( Please refer to last week’s practical if you cannot remember the process ). Make sure you can execute spatial queries in SQL in pgAdmin Query Editor. Create a new user:
