The Cullowhee Formation is an interesting part of the Blue Mountains. The Formation is made mostly of gneiss and although a lot of research has been done on the area and surrounding formations researchers cannot agree on how to classify it. Some believe that it should be part of the Ashe metamorphic suite, some think it belongs in the Tallulah fall/Coweta group, and others believe it belongs in the Cartoogechaye Terrane . All of these formations are adjacent to the Cullowhee Formation and share similar properties with it. Other researchers believe it is distinct enough to be its own group and have labeled it the Cullowhee olistostromal terrane. This confusion on how to label the Formation is frustrating, and being able to understand this formation and its properties would go a long way towards helping out our understanding of how the Blue Mountains formed. For this reason this paper will explore several topics related to the Cullowhee formation, using data obtained from a sample of rock from the formation.

I really liked the organization in this paper however I would’ve liked a better closing. I understand what you’re doing but I feel that this can be written better. Also at the beginning, if you define some of the more geologic terms, such as gneiss and olistostromal terrane, I think it would be an easier read....
