Introduction The antenna is responsible for coupling the RF energy from the transmission-line feed to free space, and vice versa. Antennas are characterized using several parameters, such as geometry, gain, beam width, side lobe level, frequency of operation, polarization. In this experiment, we use two antennas to characterize the industrial antennas used for wireless transmission system and explore the following antenna concepts of polarization a) Antenna Transmission Dependence on distance & frequency b) Antenna (angular) patterns & Beam-widths c) Antenna input VSWR (or Return Loss) vs. frequency d) Antenna polarizations Source of Error From the result we got, we can see, the errors are very large; there are several reasons of causing the errors which are concluded as follow: 1) Since we used two antennas to do the experiment, what we need is to let them along a straight line, and the direction cannot change during the lab, but we just can
