C. Why does it matter? Useful about good science D. How do we do sociological work? Theory Marx, Weber, and Durkheim are all concerned with social control o Marx value and class come out of production (labor)- concerned about control o Durkheim ordered in society’s- social control benefits-how is it created? Qualitative Research interviews, case studies, participant observation (personal understanding) Quantitive Research statistics, newspaper articles, convincing, not in depth
