Ryan Amann Diversity Project 11/3/11 When I first heard about this project and learned what it entailed, I knew I had to make it as fun as possible. I was not about to sit through a meeting of some sort without gaining anything from it. Because of this, Lauren, Lindsey, Kyle and I decided to try to make it as fun as possible. So the first event we chose only Kyle, Lauren and I were able to attend and it was called Bhagavad Gita yoga. This sounded innocent and potentially fun enough so we decided that we would go. The event was in the Pyon Su room on the second floor of the Stamp and was from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Friday October 28 th . Although we were hesitant at first because we had no idea what Bhagavad Gita yoga was, we went anyway. The bottom line of this story is that we should have looked into it more. We walked in and helped the few members of the Bhagavad Gita yoga club clear out the chairs in the random room we were in and set up crudely stitched blankets on the ground for us to sit Indian style on. The strangeness of the whole situation was about to begin.
