BUSI 408 Fall 2011: Group Project #2 Due: Mon, Nov 21 (MW classes) / Tues, Nov 22 (TR Classes) Ram-Brands Inc (RBI) is a consumer personal/home care products company that manufactures and sells bath soap, shampoo, deodorants, dishwashing detergent, laundry detergent, and home cleaning products. RBI, while having stable cash flows, is what many investors would now consider a mature company. As a result, RBI’s executive management has been considering a variety of new investment alternatives in various segments/industries in an effort to accelerate the company’s growth, as well diversify it from its personal/home care product roots. RBI believes it can take advantage of its retail distribution network, as well as its experience and expertise in consumer marketing, and can move into the lucrative, high margin area of gourmet snack foods.
