Top five lessons learned in BUSI 406 Haoyang Huang PID:715099441 1. I used to think that marketing was only companies trying to make a bigger sale and advertisement. But now I understand that there are more strategies that firms can use. For example: repositioning, co-branding, PR and using different channels. At the end of today’s class, I integrated a whole marketing process as first analysis the marketing research, then do segmentation to the customers and determine the 4P mix. I really enjoy taking this course and I think I am going to take marketing strategy a marketing analysis after this. 2. I learned that the most important thing is to build up a brand. Promotions can make a big sale temporarily, but a strong brand, customer loyalty are the key for a company to be competitive all the time. 3. I learned about the importance of social network. It is not just about US companies expanding their markets and factories to China. Chinese or Indian companies are also expanding their own brands to America. 5. I learned about the importance of conducting marketing research. I was able to see all different types of research questions when I did the marketing research. And it was also important to learn that firms could also gather marketing information when customers purchase goods (how they pay, brand loyalty, etc.)....
