First Impressions Unusual color scheme In between Wal-Mart and office max Inside nothing really visually appealing – big box space Music, mobile, apple and appliances at front Movies, games, cameras at back No outstanding displays – though a lot of interactive stuff to touch, play, hear, etc. After talk: Middle – class American, average income demographic (college makes up 30 percent o f traffic and 10 of sales) Labeled upscale suburban because of location though not really case – Wal-Mart drives traffics so more of a Wal-Mart demographic Older store so not rolled out with segment themes – so no particular lifestyle approach (which is made at a store level) Focus on balancing families and middle America – thus big focus on games in the middle of the store, and a lot of entertainment (biggest sales are laptops and big tvs) Also a lot of things to attract college demographics because a lot of college grads stay in area after they finish
