Zhao Zhe Organized Notes Jennifer Sano-Franchini WRA 150 6/20/2011 Flint to Host State Championship Games for LEGO League Saturday, Dec. 11 Forty-eight LEGO teams from around the state will come to Flint on Saturday, Dec. 11, for the 12th Annual FIRST LEGO League Tournament - Flint Championship Games LEGO League is aimed at students aged 9 to 14. This year's theme is the 2010 Body Forward Challenge, where teams explore the cutting-edge world of Biomedical Engineering through a robot game and project. Teams are judged on technical Interviews, core values, teamwork and a presentation. There are 330 LEGO teams in Michigan this year. Teams qualified for the Flint Championship Games by winning tournaments in Flint, East Lansing, Grandville, Marquette, Saginaw, Sault Ste. Marie and Zeeland. The Flint Championship Games are a sanctioned event of FIRST - For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology. FIRST strives to show youth the fun in science and technology.
