Review: Take nodal voltage as the unknowns. All branch current/voltage can be written as functions of the nodal voltages. Some nodal voltage is determined by the voltage source. For each unknown nodal voltage, apply KCL to the node: the sum of the currents leaving the node is zero. # of unknowns = # of equations If you have dependent source, the controlling voltage/current can also be written as functions of nodal voltages.
