Exam 1 – Sample questions The following questions have been used on previous exams. Use these as ‘examples’ for the type of question you may see, not necessarily the exact question. You will have two paragraphs to write that will constitute about 30% of the total points. I like paragraphs that make a nice story. For instance, you might expect an endocrine paragraph to focus on: a. Hypothalamic - Pituitary – adrenal action function b. or, Hypothal-Pit – thyroid function c. or, Hypothal – Pit – GH and growth d. Calcium homeostasis e. Glucose homeostasis f. Fight or flight, adrenal medulla, sympathetic nerves and ractopamine 1.
