The new concept of nation states is imagined because they are so big and the borders  aren’t necessarily set They are more spread out and they are more about the government than the location They are more of a product of globalization What is a Nation-State? Ensure economic system Private property Disciplined labor force Consumers Infrastructure Monopoly of force Cultural unity Today MOST killing in the world is carried out or sanctioned by a state  2) Colonization this is often lead by a different government  a similarity is that both can be based on resources
