A 4-MAT Review System: Integrative Approaches to Psychology and Christianity Abstract Entwistle ‘s takes the time to formulate the thoughts between two concepts that have been known to be separate but together are controversial. Integrative Approaches to Psychology and Christianity is Entwistle collective thoughts based on his own experiences and thoughts based on worldviews when it comes to the combination of psychology and theology. There is a brief history and comparison of psychology to that of Athens and Theology to that of Jerusalem to help the reader understand the similarities and differences of the two. Throughout the book, Entwistle (2010), introduces the reader to different elements of counseling and the integrations Gods word in to psychology. “All truths is God’s truth” which is a phase that Entwistle focused own in order to ensure the reader understood that truth is truth no matter what side of the fence you sit on. Many people have their interpretation of what is true and then there is God’s word that is the truth. Entwistle (2010), takes the time to address how individuals formulate thoughts through worldviews and how an individual’s worldview dictates how they feel about every aspect of their life including the disciplines of psychology and theology. It is presented to the reader that worldviews are learned and in many cases individuals are not certain what worldview they are categorized as. An individual’s world view can determine if they are biased or for certain views or thoughts. Some question that are addressed in the book are “what is a spiritual counselor” and “what types of approach does a spiritual counselor used vice a regular counselor”. These
