ANDROID OPERATING SYSTEM INTRODUCTION With the proliferation of mobile devices worldwide, reliability, availability, connectivity, and performance-related problems similar to traditional computing time met the server systems that were crucial. On the side Smartphone and Internet Tablet, one of the fastest solutions for growth of the Android-based products. While Android is based on systems get a lot of media coverage, there are many myths surrounding the actual implementation details. Some people label Android Linux as a solution, which is not really reflecting the facts. Ergo, this report examines the key components that make up the Android operating environment, development of design and architecture of Android (building blocks), and respond to questions from the verses Android Linux. Described in the Android mobile operating system, initially developed by Android Inc. Android was sold to Google in 2005. Android is based on a modified version of the Linux 2.6 kernel. Google as well as other members of the Open Handset Alliance (OHA), collaborated on the Android (design, Development and distribution). Currently, the Android Open Source Project (AOSP) is the Steering Maintenance and development of Android cycle. To repeat, the Android operating system based on a modified Linux 2.6 kernel. Compared with a Linux 2.6 environment, however, several drivers and libraries were modified or newly developed to enable Android to run as efficiently and as effectively as possible on mobile devices (such as smart phones or Internet tablets). Some of these libraries have their roots in open source projects. DVM). Android, the focus has always been to optimize infrastructure based on the limited resources available on mobile devices (Liang, 2010). To complete operating environment, a specific application framework Android was designed and carried out. Therefore, Android is best described as a complete solution stack incorporates OS, average wear components and applications. In Android, the Linux modified 2.6-core acts as a hardware abstraction layer (HAL). WHAT IS ANDROID? Android is a software platform and operating system for mobile devices based on Linux kernel, developed by Google and later the Open Handset Alliance. It allows developers to write managed code written in Java, to control the device via Google-developed Java libraries. Applications written in C and other languages can be compiled in ARM native code and run, but this trend is not officially supported by Google (Asad, 2011). Unveiling the Android platform, 5 November 2007 was announced with the established The Open Handset Alliance, a consortium of 48 computers, software and telecommunications companies dedicated to the promotion of open standards for mobile devices.
