Whitney Mockler Dr. Richard Feinberg CSR 331 12 January 2012 Consumer Behavior and Kevin Trudeau From the first moments of the “Trudeau Free Money” infomercial, it is clear that the goal of the program is deceit. The claims of finding free money online are prefaced with outrageous attention-getting tactics as the infomercial parades itself as an investigative documentary. The infomercial implies that it will truthfully explore the promises made in Kevin Trudeau’s Free Money , but never really answers the questions it draws attention to in the introduction. This infomercial can be analyzed by considering Kevin Trudeau’s past and the real answers to some of the questions the infomercial asks itself. Kevin Trudeau’s character is supposedly explored in the “Free Money” infomercial. According to the commercial, he has been banned from TV by a federal court order, but clips from commercials and infomercials recorded before the ban are legal to be played.
