Unformatted text preview: Stephanie Brown CSR 406 September 7, 2011 “Auctions for Income” is a book that teaches people how to make more money on ebay. The book supposedly gives “proven” strategies on how to become wealthier by use of selling product on the website. I have always been skeptical of infomercials because it is easy to see how they work. They target a niche customer and say the things that make them want to buy. This infomercial, like many others, gives a “money back guarantee” if you do not like the purchase, which shows confidence in the product. The strategies they use are simple, but effective. It is no doubt that with the right approach, businesses can make good profits by using this form of direct selling. To me, this was a typical infomercial in which someone attempts to sell a product that probably is not worth the purchase.
