Brian Ewing CSR 406 10-8-11 Facebook The purpose of any business that is created is to serve a purpose, have an income and to ultimately make a profit. This isn’t always an easy thing to do depending on what kind of competition the business is confronted with and the state of the economy. However, the key to combat these forces it to sell to your particular target market and engage them enough in what you’re doing in order to compel them to do business with you. A very important tool in a retail strategy is using Facebook. Below are four small businesses and one national chain that utilize Facebook as part of their internet based business strategy. These businesses include; ZX Gun (zxgun.com), University Spirit (purduegear.com), Nine Irish Brothers (nineirishbrothers.com), Linway Cinema(Linwaycinema.com) and Kohl’s (kohls.com). The first business is a small locally owned gun shop of Goshen Indiana. On their Facebook page you will find posts from them that let their followers know information like time and location of shows, promotions, new inventory and knowledge of firearms from both the store
