Micajah Green Dr. Richard Feinberg E-Retailing October 8, 2011 Like Me! Social networking has become a staple of everyday life. Many retailers have picked up on this and have begun utilizing social networking websites, such as Facebook, as part of their retail mix. Retailers all across the globe are shouting “Like us on Facebook!” to their customers. From well-known retailers to local boutiques, businesses of all levels have found benefits from Facebook promotions. Kohl’s, Papa John’s, Soy- Yer Dough, Vera Bradley, and Holiday World and Splashin’ Safari are five companies who utilize Facebook as an Internet strategy. Through their presence on Facebook, all five of these companies are expanding their online presence. Kohl’s is one of the most well-known department stores across the United States. Not only do they offer quality physical stores, but they provide an excellent website for customers to utilize. In addition to the website, Kohl’s has furthered their Internet presence through Facebook. Special offers, promotions, and news about what the company is doing are all communicated to shoppers through Facebook. With the launch of their new lines by Marc Anthony and Jennifer Lopez, Kohl’s did some heavy advertising through Facebook. This helped consumers to realize what was happening at the store and provided easy access to Kohl’s
