Felicia Strang Utilizing Social Media Throughout the evolution of Facebook, retailer’s social media strategies have become increasingly vital to the success of their company. By utilizing this platform, retailers focus on creating meaningful interactions with their fans through various discounts and rewards. Not only can retailers reach out to loyal customers, but they can also observe user behavior in order to turn fans into consumers. Facebook is not only a way to interact and gain feedback from consumers, but is currently cultivating methods to support “f-commerce” otherwise known as purchasing products through a retailers Facebook page. Apart from displaying what is already on their company website, retailers need to gain leverage through branding, customer opinions, and fan- only discounts. In order to intrigue fans to keep coming to your page on a daily basis a retailer must invest their time in their consumers and create a platform for them to engage themselves in.
