Healthy Eating Plan I have recently found out that I am a diabetic and there was no place to enter this information on the website. I do not think this information is accurate for me because of my medical history, but I will give the results based on the information that could be entered there. My current eating habits are based on a diet that a nutritionist gave me when I found out I was a diabetic. I am allowed to have 45 grams a carbohydrates per meal, so for breakfast I would have two pieces of whole wheat toast (15g), then I would have a ½ cup of cottage cheese, 1 cup of melon, and 1 ounce of lean meat (turkey bacon). For lunch I would have a sandwich on whole wheat bread with two slices of low fat ham, a slice of cheese, 16 pringles potato chips (which would make up my 45g of carbs), 1 cup baby carrots, 1 cup celery, and a small piece of fruit. Last, for dinner I would have 4 ounces of lean meat (baked piece of chicken), 1 cup of broccoli and cheese, 1 cup boiled cabbage, a roll, and 1 cup strawberries. This is the diet I am to following being a diabetic, but sometimes it is hard to keep up with but I try my best to eat what is right for me. When I completed the Food Diary Checkpoint I was on the run a lot and would have to grab something and go, which is not an excuse I could have done a lot better with the choices I made. The results of that test showed that I needed to incorporate more vegetables, fruit, and dairy in my diet. I felt this to was a little inaccurate with me being a diabetic, because I have to watch the fruit I eat because of the sugar; however, I did agree with adding more vegetable and dairy (I do have to watch the dairy too because it tends to make me feel sick). I am over weight and have been most of my life, but I have also recently found out that I have a thyroid problem and this could be the
