Ricardo Ruiz-Gonzalez Jr. 2/21/12 Comm. 101 Sec.-008 Communication Activity #4 I witnessed my parents engage in many conflicts. My parents have been divorced since I was 2 years old. Many of their conflicts were centered on my father not paying child support on time or at all. Their conflicts really shaped me in to the person I am today. They also showed me how to handle certain types of conflicts and what to do and not to do. My parents used many types of strategies during their conflicts. They adopted most of the time a win-lose or a lose-lose situation. My mother would use a win-lose situation against my father almost all the time. If my dad didn’t pay than he wouldn’t get to see us for the weekend. So my father would pay on time and my mother would win. But there were times when my dad could not pay or didn’t want to pay and my mom would not let me and my sister go see him so both of them would lose in that situation. Sometimes he did not do this intentionally but those were the repercussions of his actions. As much as my parents fought, argued and yelled at each other they always found a way
