Correct numerical results without supporting work will not receive much credit. (Neglect air resistance for all problems) Three blocks are connected as shown in the figure and are initially at rest. The mass of the first block is 2m, the second block is 4m and the third block is 10m. The coefficients of static and kinetic friction between any two surfaces in contact are μ s and μ k respectively. Two forces, F 1 and F 2 are now applied to the system as shown in the figure. The force F 2 is equal to the weight of the second block and the pulley has no friction.
